COOKERY AND BAKERY

1a.Cookery Course

Eligibility: Aptitude and spoken knowledge of English language.

 

Content: Training in basic special cookery, practical demonstration of South Indian, North Indian and Mogalai, Continental and Chinese Cookery, Special desserts, Pastry, Sweets, Ice cream based pudding pies, Soup and Salads etc.,

 

Duration: 2 hours a day, 2 classes per week for 3 months.

 

1.Certificate Course in making Bakery Products and Cake Decoration

 

Duration:: Two hours a day, 2 classes per week for 3 months

 

Scope: : Basic training will be imparted on aspects of baking, cake-making and icing, biscuit-making, including theory of nutrition and hygiene. Emphasis will be on hands-on training enabling the participant to acquire sound practical knowledge.

 

Assessment:: Students will be assessed on the basis of the quality of their work and other factors like attendance, cleanliness, involvement, etc.

 

Eligibility:: Pass in X Standard (relaxable in exceptional cases) preference to candidates seeking self-employment.
